Unfortunately, throughout my tumultuous youth, my relationships with my parents and teachers were strained. I was inspired to become a teacher because I wanted to be the mentor I needed during my most challenging times. I wanted to ensure that no child felt as isolated and misunderstood as I once did but would instead discover their true potential.

My teaching career has been eclectic to say the least! From high school Physics to Kindergarten to ESL in India and South Korea, I have taught students across various age groups, cultures, socioeconomic backgrounds, and learning challenges. My experience includes working with young offenders and at-risk youth, as well as children on the Autism and Fetal Alcohol Spectrums; helping many students navigate addictions, eating disorders, and other mental health challenges.

Despite the rewards of teaching, I felt constrained by the limitations of the education system. This led me to pursue a passion for filmmaking, where my projects focused on social issues. My films have garnered local and international awards, and I was honoured to serve as president of Women in Film and Television Vancouver, the BC chapter of a global advocacy organization. I am also a published author and ghostwriter, specializing in stories about inspirational people who have overcome childhood traumas and adversities.

Even with this success, a post-COVID reflection had me returning to the classroom last year. With so much going on in the world, in particular, the mental health crisis, I felt called to help others directly once again. I was heartbroken to find the complexities and overwhelming demands on parents and teachers had only intensified with little to no increase in support.

I launched Ignite Your Life to specifically empower others, specifically parents, with the insights, strategies and support needed for them to create thriving, fulfilling lives for themselves and their families.

To help me on my mission, I have partnered with a global leader in the Personal Empowerment and Leadership Development space to offer award-winning programs and transformational events that specifically focus on mastering mindset and manifestation. These are the exact concepts I used to transform every area of my life.
